Day Three Hundred and Sixty Eight - Milk Drinking

Over the last two days I have introduced the pups to the concept of lapping, providing them with some formula in a bowl to drink from before Emmi comes into feed them.  Over the next few days they should get the hang of this pretty quickly, and then it will be time to add some soft soaked dry food to the mixture.  They are all quite interested in this new concept, although it is Winston who has most immediately taken to it.

Here are some photos:

It is the time of lots of firsts in their lives.  Today I carried them in turn outside to feel the sunshine and sniff a tree or two.  They certainly weren't sure what to make of the big wide world outside of their whelping box!  It won't be very long before they get to explore the ground out there, and before we know it they will be running and playing and protesting at having to come in at night!

They are playing more and more now, although sessions are very short before they drop to sleep.  Here is some video footage of them. The first section Tiffany was downed by Cartier before I picked up the camera, and I think was just a little distracted by what I was doing.  The second piece she gets her own back!
